Do you see me sitting here so patiently? Waiting, hoping, for my dreams to be real? Left alone when I was so young, when all I just want is a forever home? Please, won’t you see me? Love me? Give me a home? I know times are hard, imagine what it was like to be a puppy, all alone. And when I find my forever home, I will give it my everything, my heart, my soul, my loyalty. I know I am just another dog to you now, but if you adopt me, I promise, I’ll be that dog that marks your soul.
I’m Willow and if you made it this far, thank you from the tip of my nose to the pads on my paws. It has become almost overwhelming the number of pets needing homes. If only more people were like you and spayed and neutered their pets and supported local rescues there wouldn’t be so many of us. Like so many casualties of hard times, I found myself dumped down the end of a dirt road. Any of you country folk can testify to the sheer number of strays you see these days. But I was one of the lucky ones – I found a person to foster me and work with the defenders of dogs – The Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno –to find me a forever home!
Foster mom will tell you I am a really good boy who is happy to have a friend, so I get along with everyone! Other dogs? Pure joy! Kids and grownups – more humans to love! Heck, I even like that cat, I’ll never pass up the opportunity to be part of any pack. I am still a young dog, but I am smart and learning so many new things like about car rides and leashes and things! I am house trained, a great big start but all I need is a family to love me, train me, be my everything and my life will be great! Won’t you see me sitting here so patiently?
Willow is available for adoption from the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno. As a puppy, he is a happy boy just waiting for the perfect family to invest the time into his training to make him achieve his full potential. He is good with dogs of all shapes and sizes, cats and is good with kids. Remember, a young dog is a decade plus commitment to regular exercise and care, but the rewards a good family dog will bring are priceless.
