Looking for a loyal companion who’s equal parts goofball and cuddle bug? Meet Shadow, a six-month-old black Lab mix with 45 pounds of playful energy and the sweetest heart you’ll ever meet.
Shadow lives up to his name—he’ll follow you everywhere with his big brown eyes, wagging tail, and the kind of devotion that only a rescue pup can give. Whether you’re heading to the kitchen or out for a walk, Shadow’s right there, ready to be your best friend and your shadow.
This young pup was found in a box in an orchard; he and a litter mate were rescued by someone with a kind heart and bottle fed until old enough to find a home. Shadow has been living with a single mom and two girls, but he really needs a little more activity and structure to be the perfect pup. His family feels he would do great with some playgroups, social outings, and a home who has the time to enjoy taking him for walks and some basic obedience training, which he will eagerly soak up! He’s treat motivated and a very fast learner.
Shadow sleeps quietly in his crate at night inside and is working on becoming the perfect family pet. He just needs a little polishing up, and a few more social outings to become the best dog he can be.
He’s shy but curious, clever, and still full of puppy wonder. His favorite activities include:
