Sammie – the Chihuahua, 8-10 years, 9 lbs.

Sammie is affectionately called Wawa. She is a spirited little girl with a fantastic outlook on life. Sammie came into rescue from a shelter in Bakersfield with an obese retriever. They were a bonded pair so of course we took them both. https://www.facebook.com/profile/100064695338563/search?q=Sammie Both were very sick and unfortunately it turned into pneumonia and her big friend passed. Sammie mourned her friend for a while but has since thrived in her foster home with the other large dogs.

Sammie is not a snippy Chi, she is sweet, loves to be held and petted and has an adorable quirky way about her. She likes to explore the backyard and gets along with everyone she meets, large dogs and humans alike.

Sammie has gone through a lot for a little dog, but she has come through like a champ. Having already undergone a dental procedure, Sammie is now ready to find her forever home where she can receive the love and care she deserves.
