River – Chocolate Female, 1 Year, 50 lbs.
Meet River, a beautiful 1-year-old chocolate girl who is everything we love about Labs—happy, playful, smart, affectionate, and always ready for some fun!
River loves the water and playing fetch. Her activity level is about a 7, so she enjoys a good play session but can settle down afterward and relax with her toys.
River previously lived with two small dogs and has done well with the larger dog in her foster home. When he has corrected her, she gets the message right away—this girl is pretty smart!
She knows most of her basic commands and is continuing to work on them. She is house trained, crate trained, knows how to use a dog door, and sleeps through the night in her crate. She’s also working on her leash skills and making great progress.
One of River’s cutest traits? She gives high-fives when she’s excited to meet you!
And in true Lab fashion, River wants to be wherever her people are. She’ll happily climb into your lap and cover you with plenty of Labby kisses. Her previous home also included children.
