Happy Boy – Black Male, 2 years, 95 pounds
Do you need a buddy? Someone to gaze at you with all the love in the world? Someone who wants nothing more than to be by your side and be your best pal? If that sounds like a beautiful friendship, Happy Boy is the guy for you.
Happy Boy was roaming the reservation where he was picked up by a shelter. He came to LRRF when his time had run out and he was put on the euthanasia list. What a lucky day for him and his future family because he was so worth saving. This big guy tested cat friendly at the shelter.
Happy Boy lives up to his name and is happy about so many things, living inside, having doggie friends, being around older children, learning new things, and is very happy with his chew toys.
In his foster home, Happy Boy sleeps in a crate and goes there for a rest. He would like a dog savvy home that will set boundaries. He responds to a shake can as a tool to teach him about personal space. The 7-year-old grandson learned this technique and they get along great. We are learning leash skills with a Herm Sprenger prong collar, as Happy Boy is a large, strong, determined fella with lots of puppy behaviors and enthusiasm. Training and regular exercise are essential to a healthy relationship with handsome Happy Boy.
