Clancy – Black Male X, 2 years, 40 lbs
Meet Clancy! This adorable little guy found himself in a tough spot — alone in a shelter and limping in pain. Thankfully, Labrador Retriever Rescue Fresno and our amazing supporters came to the rescue! With your help, Clancy received an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) to save his leg, and he’s now on the road to a happy, healthy life.
Clancy is healing beautifully, though he still favors his leg a bit when he runs. He’s great on walks, doesn’t pull, and loves to get out and explore. He’s house trained and hasn’t had any accidents in his foster home.
He’s discovering the joys of being a playful pup, learning basic commands, and recently found his bark — which he’s testing out! True to his Labbie nature, Clancy is a total Velcro dog who loves being close to his people. He’s gentle with children and even greeted trick-or-treaters at the door for pets without a hitch!
Clancy enjoys car rides (even if he needs a little help getting in right now) and continues improving his doggie manners. With a little more time and patience, he’ll make an incredibly loyal and loving companion. If you’d like to learn more about Clancy, please fill out an online adoption application.
