Betty – Black Female X, 3 Years, 57lbs
Wow, what a makeover! This gal is a total Betty! But there is so much more to her than her good looks.
Betty is a wonderful dog who has unfortunately experienced a less than wonderful life. She came to Lab Rescue Fresno after having lived on her own and struggled to survive. She didn’t know what it meant to be in a loving home. Through the careful patience of her foster family and her sheer willingness to overcome, Betty is learning how to be herself in her foster home.
She is such a sweet girl! Betty welcomes people to her foster home and loves to cuddle and receive love. Out in the world she is a bit shy and reserved, but warms up once she gets to know you. She loves to do zoomies in the yard and sniff out and chase squirrels. She would love a home where she has access to run around and stretch her long legs. Slowly but surely, she is loving the opportunity to finally be a dog!
Betty is becoming more comfortable on a leash and enjoys getting out with her Lab foster siblings. Her nervousness with cars and other people improves each day. She does well meeting other dogs. Betty is adapting to her crate training and hasn’t had any accidents in the house.
Though we may never know what Betty has lived through, we do know that she deserves to have the best life moving forward. The perfect home for her will be with someone who is both patient and gentle. Her ideal family would understand how far she has come and be willing to put in the effort and love to help her blossom into the wonderful dog she was always meant to be.
