Tango – Black Male, 3 years, 75 lbs.

Meet Tango, the Quintessential Labrador

Tango is a charming 3-year-old black lab with a heart of gold. This sweet boy loves people, food, and snuggles – what more could you ask for?

Tango’s journey began in a Bakersfield shelter, where he arrived as a stray. Despite being underweight and neglected, Tango’s spirit remains unbroken. He’s blossomed in his foster home, effortlessly connecting with people and dogs of all ages.

This gentle boy is:

Friendly and affectionate
House-trained and respectful of belongings
Good on leash (still learning, but eager to please)
Past the puppy chaos, making him a wonderful indoor companion
Devoted to his people and seeking constant companionship

Tango is past the puppy crazy and is wonderful in the house. He has respected the fosters belongings and can chill out with the rest of the pack. He is a very devoted kind of guy and wants to be with his people at all times – no bathroom breaks for you!

Its always incredible how such awesome dogs end up in shelters. Tango, like many of them, was probably a forgotten lawn ornament, sequestered to the backyard with not much attention. Yet even with that, he is an attentive dog who seeks out human touch and companionship.

While Tango’s foster home doesn’t have children, we believe he’ll adapt well to families with older kids. However, we’re unsure about his compatibility with cats, as there aren’t any in his current foster home.

Tango’s story is a testament to the resilience of dogs. Despite likely being neglected in the past, he craves human touch and connection. If you’re ready to provide a loving home for this incredible Labrador, we’d love to hear from you!
