Sully – Yellow Male mix, 2ish, 58 lbs.
Love is a four-legged word named Sully.

Every dog has their story and Sully’s is remarkable. Sully came to Lab Rescue in October. He had been spotted by a good Sam since July off and on in a very rural area at a business where they manufacture Sulfur. No one knew where he came from but he stayed around and was given scraps of food from the workers. He was, however, very shy and didn’t come close enough for someone to leash him.

LRRF ended up trapping Sully. He was very under socialized with people so the foster set out to work and slowly bring him out of his shell. Sully was very much aided by the foster’s own dog. Sully loves other dogs so this was a great to help him understand that people were good and kind, the bringers of good food and treats.

Fast forward to now – Sully is a goofy young boy who loves to play, is very curious about the world, loves to be petted, sleeps in his crate all night, is house-trained and likes to go for walks. He has learned what it is like to live indoors with people (and other dogs) He is by all accounts a young pup still and has snuck off with the remote and shoes a few times. These are immediately replaced with proper Kong toys which he also enjoys. He is still learning!

Sully is looking for a home that is quieter and will have another friendly dog to play with. He is still a bit shy at first but he comes around quickly. If children are in the home, they should be older and respectful of dogs. He has shown an interest in the bunnies that frequent his foster’s property so we think a home without felines is best.

Sully would love to be your new companion. If you have a warm heart for this sweet boy who deserves nothing less than the world and a good home finally, please fill out an online adoption application to learn more about Sully.
