Sadie – Black Female, age 9 years, 50 lbs.
In Hebrew, the name “Sadie” means princess. We certainly would agree this regal, charming, sweet girl deserves to be treated as a princess. She is a petite labette, and has all the traits of a well-groomed princess dog. She is house trained, crate trained, walks gentle on a leash, likes to play with other social dogs once she has her confidence built up, and she has a smile and a tail wag that will melt your heart.
Sadie was rescued from a County Shelter and was previously microchipped and spayed. There must have been something beyond our knowledge that happened, because we don’t know how this darling girl would be abandoned, and no owner to come for her.
Sadie shows a little interest in chasing the kitties, but honestly doesn’t seem to mind them, and has been an absolute doll in her foster home. She has been with three other large dogs (labs) and a small terrier mix, and plays well with all of the other dogs and is exceptionally calm and sweet. She walks right into her crate at night and sleeps without making a sound. Sadie is a little timid of exuberant dogs, and people at first, but once she knows she is safe and with a just little patience she warms up and is quite affectionate and animated.
Along with vaccines, a heartworm test, and a veterinary exam, Lab Rescue also funded a geriatric blood panel, and all results were excellent! This little lady has many happy days ahead when she finds that perfect family that will take care of this princess as she deserves.
When we talk about a “practically perfect pup” there is not much we can’t say is perfect about Sadie. She would enjoy having a calmer home, is ok with people coming and going each day, and is exceptionally low-key and easy going. She will make someone a loving companion, and just wants to find her furever home. To apply for Sadie, please fill out an online adoption application.
