Rocky Raccoon – Our Beatles collection
Yellow Male, Age 2ish,  80 pounds

Now somewhere in the black mining hills of Dakota there lived a young boy named Rocky Raccoon.

Actually, I live in the great San Joaquin Valley and I am lucky to have landed in the arms of Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno.  I am very excited about everything, new people, new dogs, new toys, new places to explore in a house!  In a week I have learned a lot. I have refined my sit and down and learned to wait at the door (that’s a hard one).  My leash training is going well. I love to play with toys of all kinds and play tug.  I am ready to meet my people and explore the world with them.

Rocky is a young, strong, energetic, goofy, and playful boy. This high energy boy is smart and willing to learn, especially if a treat is involved.  Rocky really wants to please, it’s just so exciting and hard to focus at first.  When Rocky first meets another dog, he is over the top which can be a bit much for the other dog. At this point we prefer he go to a home as an only dog until he can be further socialized with training. He is crate-trained and house-trained.

Rocky is looking for an active home with dog experience, and children should be older.  There are no cats in the foster’s home. Rocky needs direction and will require continued obedience training to become the best dog ever.  If you would like to know more about Rocky, please fill out an application online.
