Mildred – Yellow (fox red) Female, 8 years, 100 lbs.
I have learned many things at my foster home. One thing I learned is that people aren’t so bad and this new life is good. I also discovered that the best thing in the world is having a nice soft bed and a Nylabone to chew on. That is one of my favorite pastimes.
Everything has changed now! I try my hardest to be a great girl no matter what! I know how to sit and I’m house and crate trained. I LOVE being in the house with my people. I even know how to use a doggie door to do my business. I had not been on walks for a while so will need a refresher as I just get excited and pull sometimes. I’ve spent a lot of my life with a LOT of other dogs and would prefer being the only princess in your eyes. Most people can’t stop staring at me because I’m so beautiful with my amber eyes. 🙂 I promise I will be the best girl and devoted to you forever.
My foster mom says I am a special gal and that I got rescued from a really bad place called a hoarder, whatever that means. Animal control came in and took me and a bunch of other dogs to the shelter. When I got to Lab Rescue it was kind of obvious nobody had cared for me for a while and where I previously lived simply left food out. What’s a girl to do when bored? Why eat, that’s what. Never a good idea to free feed a Lab and now I’m working on getting my waist back! My foster mom said I was filthy, itchy and sad when I came in! She said it seemed as if nobody had taken care of my beautiful coat and skin for a while either. But then I got a bath and I felt really good again! I even loved it when she washed my face with a washcloth! It felt great to be clean again and I got a shot from the vet for my itchy skin and had my infected ears cleaned and medicated. She says I am just a love!
My foster mom says I deserve the best home ever because I am such a good girl! I have not had anything so nice for a while. I would really like to meet you. You see, I like to meet everyone and I am looking for a furever home! I am just a happy Lab now!
Love Mildred
Mildred is looking for her forever family. She prefers a calm home setting with older or no children and to be the only dog in the home with nice folks who just want a wonderful girl to hang out with. There are no cats in the foster home. In return, she will be your most devoted companion. If you are interested in learning more about Mildred, please fill out an online adoption application.
