Lincoln – Chocolate Male, 1.5 years old – 70 pounds

Hi there! My name is Lincoln, it’s so nice to meet you! I’m excited to find my forever home, almost as excited as I get when I see a BALL! I love to play fetch. I can go go go if you let me. Retrieving is in my blood and something I crave. I do know my commands too! “Sit”, “Stay”, “Down”, “Paw”, and “Release”. After a fun day with you, exercising, and playing ball I also know the command “Go Home” and can sleep through the night quietly in my crate. I guess you can say I’m a smart boy!

My foster Mom and Dad have kids and I do well with them. I’m a super friendly guy and I love pets. Since I’m bigger my foster parents think I should go to a home with older kids since they don’t want me to accidentally knock anyone down. I just love everyone and sometimes don’t know my own strength.

Besides my ball, and people, my other love is food. My mom makes me eat my dinner out of a slow feeder bowl and it helps me. I have been caught *insert gasp* counter surfing but quickly learning that’s not ok. Like I said, I’m a smart boy and learn fast.

I’m looking for an active family, with structure, who will love me and continue to work with me on my training. Could it be with you?

From his foster mom –

Lincoln is a sweet guy. He loves to be loved. He will need some leash work. He is a strong boy. He needs an active family that wants to play fetch and keep him well exercised. An exercised dog is a happy dog and he loves it. He is great with kids but due to his energy we think he would do best in a home without toddlers, we don’t want him to knock anyone over. He has had basic training and knows his commands and takes correction well.
