Kody – Yellow Doodle, 1 year, 41 lbs.
Hi, I’m Kody and I’m a yellow Labradoodle about 1 year old. I’ve had a bit of a rough start in life. The wonderful people at the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno found me and placed me with a great foster family. I’m only about 41 pounds right now but I expect to be about 60 or so pounds when I’ve gained the weight that is expected.
I’m getting more comfortable around people and love playing with my big 4-legged foster brother and my little 4-legged foster sister. The games I like the best are running and chasing while doing ‘zoomies’ around the yard. We all play together outside as much as possible and I’m learning how to play fetch.
My foster mom is great at teaching me the things I need to be a great friend and part of a family. I don’t want to brag but I am very smart. I learned my new name and to come when called on the first day of being in my foster home. I’ve learned to sit and wait when being offered food and water as well as exiting my kennel. I am getting more comfortable in my kennel where I rest during the day and sleep at night. We are working on ‘down’ and some leash training.
I have a very calm nature and am very respectful of being in and around the house. I learned the dog door by watching my foster brother. I’m excited to learn even more new things.
The best part is that I am now neutered, microchipped and have all my shots. I am house broken and crate trained. I am waiting and ready to become a part of your family. Looking forward to experiencing even more training with you to become the best pup I can be.
If you would love to have me join your family please fill out an online adoption application and let us know that you’d like to meet Kody.
