Jake – Black Male, Age 18 Month, 60 pounds
Are you looking for a handsome cuddler to add to your family? Do you want to look at beautiful, soulful brown eyes? Look no further than Jake (also known as Jake-y poo at his foster home).
Jake came to us when a good Samaritan in Tulare County picked him up as he was running in fear from other dogs. LRRF once again sprang to the rescue and saved this sweet boy. We do not know Jake’s upbringing or background but from his time in his foster home we have learned Jake will need a special forever home. Jake is still a young dog and has not had much human contact. Jake is learning in his foster home how to communicate properly. He will need a family that has a strong human pack leader dedicated to his continued training and daily exercise.
Jake is a very smart boy; he has learned to potty outdoors, can walk nicely on a leash and is crate trained. He knows “sit”, is working on “off”, and is a quick learner who is attentive and inquisitive. He has lots of Lab energy but above all, he is a cuddler and would love nothing more than to rest his head on your lap and want to be with you wherever you go……including the bathroom if you forget to close the door.
Jake will do best in a home with older children, and without cats or small dogs. He loves dogs his own size. This loving guy is ready for his forever family.
