Brooks – Chocolate Male, 6 months old, 65 lbs.

Are you looking for some puppy love in your life? Well, look no further! My name is Brooks – I am a puppy and I would love to love you forever!!! I am a fun-loving, goofy, silly, lovable Labbie pup and I am looking for my forever home! Life was not always so happy for me. I had a family briefly, but got unceremoniously dumped at the shelter because I got “too big”. Um, I am a Labrador puppy – I am supposed to grow big! Luckily the nice folks at the shelter got me to those Defenders of Dogs at the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno asap – phew! My foster family takes such good care of me – they play with me, teach me tricks and new skills, feed me, and most of all they love me! They say now I am ready to join my forever family so they can help another pup in need. Could you be my forever family? Keep reading to find out!

I don’t mean to brag, but I am very smart. Since I was rescued, I have learned potty-training, crate-training, and how to sit! I am a tender guy, and while I do love to wrestle and play, I have a very calm and loving demeanor. My favorite game is chewing! I love laying on a soft bed and chewing on Kong toys, antlers, sticks, and tennis balls. I am learning how to play fetch too, but I think it is more fun for you to chase me to get the ball back! I LOVE to eat, which makes me very easy to train. I will do just about anything you want for one of those tasty treats! I am an all-around happy fella who loves to play with toys, go on a car ride, go for a walk – gosh, I am pretty much up for anything, as long as I am by your side! After our adventure for the day is done, I am ready to melt into your lap for a long nap. I sure do love to cuddle!

Brooks is an adorable pup with a wonderful personality. He loves dogs of all sizes and is great with kids. He has not been exposed to a cat in his foster home, so his feline-friendliness is unknown. Brooks is a happy-go-lucky fella who just wants a family to love and cherish. When you look into his eyes, his gentle and kind spirit shines through. Like all puppies, making Brooks a member of your family is a 15+ year commitment. Brooks will need a family committed to attending training classes with him and exercising him daily to ensure a lifetime of good behavior.
